Welcome to the Michael Ferris on-line art gallery.

Michael is a watercolour artist based in Cairns, Living in this region has given Michael a great love of the fantastic flora and fauna that abounds there. His paintings of orchids have won him three first prizes in Australian Artist Magazines' still life and floral challenges (2002, 2003, 2004). Recently Michael has had an 8 page article in International Artist Magazine Apr/May 2004.

Michael has had a very successful exhibition of his work at Cairns Regional Gallery and continues to exhibit widely. In January 2005 he hosted a workshop for the Summer Art Experience sponsored by the Artist's Society of Canberra. Tutoring workshops will continue in Cairns in the coming years.
